Orientation for Grade 8 Students (2024)

At the beginning of every academic year, Leribe English Medium School (LEMS) organizes an Orientation Day for our new Grade 8 students and their parents. The orientation provides a comprehensive introduction to the school’s environment, ensuring a smooth transition for students entering high school.

During the orientation, students are given an overview of the school’s core values, mission, and vision, allowing them to understand the principles that guide their education at LEMS. Teachers and key staff members are also introduced to the students, giving them the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the educators who will be guiding them throughout the year.

A key part of the orientation involves explaining the school’s rules and regulations in detail. This ensures that students understand their responsibilities and expectations as LEMS students. Another important aspect covered is the school uniform policy, including guidelines on how and when the uniform should be worn throughout the school week. This helps students and parents prepare for the academic year ahead, promoting a sense of discipline and pride in the school.

Additionally, parents are informed about administrative matters such as the payment schedule for school fees and the system maintenance fee, a necessary contribution that ensures the school’s infrastructure and services remain functional and up-to-date. The event sets a positive tone for the year ahead, fostering a strong partnership between the school, students, and their parents.
